JERUSALEM (Ma’an) — Israeli intelligence on Monday agreed to hand over the body of 19-year-old Fadi Alloun, a Palestinian who was shot dead after he allegedly carried out a stabbing attack on Sunday, Addameer prisoners’ rights group said.<\/p>\n

However, a lawyer for Addameer, Muhammad Mahmoud, told Ma’an that Israeli authorities would only release the body on condition that no more than 70 Palestinians attend the funeral.Israeli authorities demanded that Alloun’s family pay a guarantee of 20,000 shekels ($5,200) to be refunded if the condition is met, Mahmoud said.He added that Alloun will be buried in Shuafat cemetery in occupied East Jerusalem.Alloun, a 19-year-old from al-Issawiya village in East Jerusalem, was shot dead by Israeli forces after an alleged stabbing attack in which a 16-year-old Israeli was reportedly moderately injured outside Jerusalem’s Old City.Alloun’s family has denied that he was involved in an attack, saying that Israeli forces shot Alloun dead while he was fleeing from Israelis who were trying to attack him, citing a video of the incident.His death came just hours after another Palestinian, Muhannad al-Halabi, was shot dead after killing two Israelis and injuring two others, including a two-year-old child, in a stabbing attack that also took place in Jerusalem’s Old City.Halabi’s body is still being held by Israeli forces.The funerals of Palestinians killed by Israeli forces are often highly politically charged, and Israeli authorities regularly seek to limit the numbers in attendance.<\/div>\n
